Krispy Kreme Celebrates Barbie 65th Anniversary With Doughnut ...

In 2023, Barbie hit the silver screen. This year, she’s celebrating with golden fried dough.
On Sept. 3. Krispy Kreme announced it’s partnering with Barbie to celebrate the doll’s 65th anniversary with four new doughnuts featuring designs and flavors inspired by the global phenomenon. Barbie has had hundreds of jobs, and now she’s adding Purveyor of Doughnuts to the list.
For a limited time at participating Krispy Kreme shops, fans can now enjoy the following treats from the Barbie x Krispy Kreme Collection, all served in a limited-edition box:
Barbie Pink Doughnut: This original glazed doughnut is inspired by Barbie’s signature color piped with pink buttercream, sprinkled with pink sugar and topped with miniature Barbie sunglasses.Malibu Dream Party Doughnut: This treat is inspired by the Barbie Dreamhouse and dips an unglazed shell doughnut filled with Cake Batter Kreme in Malibu blue icing and sparkly graham sand. The doughnut is finished with a Barbie Dreamhouse accent piece and a piped white frosting cloud.Barbie Berries ’n Kreme Doughnut: This unglazed doughnut is filled with Strawberry Kreme. It is then dipped in white icing, drizzled with purple and pink buttercream and topped with a Barbie heart decoration.Barbie Sweet 65th Doughnut: This original glazed doughnut is dipped in chocolate icing and topped with “Barbie Sweet 65th sprinkles” in the doll’s most iconic colors.“We’re excited to celebrate the Barbie brand’s 65th birthday with a collaboration that’s full of fun and flavor,” Dave Skena, global chief brand officer for Krispy Kreme, said in a press release. “We’re bringing Barbie’s iconic fashions to life through delicious doughnuts that are sure to thrill Barbie and Krispy Kreme fans alike.”
Meredith Norrie, VP of global licensing and consumer products at Mattel, called Krispy Kreme the “perfect partner” for Barbie as they’re “two brands that immediately spark joy and elicit sweet memories.”
Customers can also find daily fresh deliveries of Krispy Kreme six-packs containing the Barbie Pink, Barbie Berries ’n Kreme and Barbie Sweet 65th Doughnuts at select grocery stores for a limited time.
Barbie Fashionista doll giveawayKrispy Kreme also has something special in store for randomly selected fans. Customers can get their hands on a limited quantity of Barbie Fashionista dolls with customized Krispy Kreme accessories like the bakery’s classic paper hat, dozen box and doughnut. Prizes will also include a custom Barbie x Krispy Kreme adult-sized denim jacket with each doll.

Social media: From Sept. 4 — 6, any fan who comments and tags a friend on the Barbie x Krispy Kreme social competition post on Instagram will be entered to win.In-store: From Sept. 6 — 8, Krispy Kreme Rewards members who purchase a Barbie x Krispy Kreme dozen at participating shops and scan their rewards app at checkout will be automatically entered.
