With just one year left on his deal, Mbappe will be free to leave for nothing at the end of the season.

But PSG chiefs are not happy and will have move on the 24-year-old as soon as possible to try to recoup some sort of fee.

It has led to a messy situation where Mbappe was prevented from training with the first-team, instead being forced to work with a group dubbed by the French press as 'the undesirables'.

And the club have taken matters a step further, it appears, by taking down posters of the striker that were draped across their home stadium.

Pictures emerged of workers on a crane pulling down the posters on the outside walls.

Furthermore, according to Gol, it is now impossible to buy Mbappe shirts from the club's megastore in Paris.

While the posters can be explained to update the stadium with the new kits ahead of the season, it appears only Mbappe's name is missing from club shops.

It remains to be seen what the conclusion to this latest saga at PSG will be.

But the French champions are keen to offload their superstar forward, who has been linked with a Premier League switch.

A possible expensive loan move for the season has been touted with Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham speculated to take an interest.

However, the favourites to snap up the World Cup winner remain Real Madrid, who he nearly signed for last summer.

Los Blancos had made a huge £166million offer to PSG for Mbappe, which was rejected in 2021 when his contract was expiring before.

But the Ligue 1 outfit clinched a two-year extension with the ex-Monaco ace to stave off a free transfer.

Now PSG find themselves in a similar position, they are ready to cut ties in a bid to garner back some cash.
