Australian superstar Kylie Minogue gets candid about her new ...
She's been the Queen of Pop for over 30 years, yet Kylie Minogue says she still gets butterflies every time a new album drops.
The music superstar has little reason to be nervous, however, after conquering dance floors around the world with the release of the international smash hit Padam Padam.

The title track to her 16th record, Tension, is another tribute to the dance floor.
"I am always inspired," she said, speaking to ABC News Breakfast, even hinting at a possible Australian tour later.
"I know this is going to be the next certain while working on this album, but I still want to get in the studio and record again."
The album's breakout song, Padam Padam, has been the megastar's first hit to chart inside the UK top 10 in more than a decade. And in her native Australia, the catchy tune quickly rose through the charts to be a staple of dance floors nationwide.
Despite all the fame and stardom, the megastar's down-to-earth warmth shines through as she logs on for a live TV interview from London.
"I have just finally seen you, now I can fan-girl!," she laughs, as News Breakfast is beamed back at her during the chat.
It is no wonder the songs from her latest album give you the same feeling.
"Time for old friends and new," she says describing the vibe of the album Tension.
And she certainly is getting a legion of new friends, with Gen-Z being introduced to the icon with her summer smash Padam Padam.
The song that got Minogue back in the global pop hot seat took off on TikTok as soon as it was released. But Kylie says the platform wasn't always for her.
"I attempted to kind of get on the TikTok train before, but it wasn't working for me," Kylie says.
"I tried it — I just don't know how to do it."
In the pre-Padam days, Kylie spoke with the team at TikTok, telling them it wasn't for her.
"I don't know if it's me."
Then came Padam, the song that became 2023's unofficial song of the European and now our summer.
Now, Kylie says she needs to get in touch with that same TikTok team again.
"Guess what — I get it. And I am here for it," she adds.
And so are her fans. From the new-generation cult she has acquired to her queer community legion which remains Minogue's biggest fan group ever — something Kylie is quick to acknowledge.
"I'm asked about it a lot, to explain it, which is very difficult for me because it's a very natural relationship of love and support and understanding," Kylie says.
Reflecting back on her performance with sister Dannii Minogue on WorldPride this year in Sydney, Minogue says it is important to her and she loved being able to celebrate that relationship.
The reason for the pop icon's success might be simpler than people predict. She is the same Kylie she has always been.
She tells us the production behind the irresistible new album involved working with people she adores.
"One of my producers I have worked with since 1999, so we have had a lot of life together and life apart."
Of course, when chatting about her new album, the question needed to be asked: what is a Padam to Kylie?
It's entirely up to the person, she says.
"It's a heartbeat in a song but it has become a noun, verb, adjective, greeting, yeah. Everything and more."
But did Kylie expect it to be such a hit?
"I'm sure that no one in the team could imagine that Padam would do everything that it did.
"It's just become Padam," laughs Kylie.
"No one even calls it Padam Padam anymore."
Along with the excitement and work of the album release, the star also has Vegas looming.
Kylie is preparing for her first Las Vegas residency. A three-month run starting in November at luxury hotel The Venetian Resort, with tickets on sale now.
There's so much to look forward to from our favourite pop star. Including her four ARIA Awards nominations.
And for Australian fans, it might even mean a potential tour.
"We're looking at these things, we're trying to make decisions.
"I'm trying to think of what to say right now!" Kylie exclaims when asked if she will be visiting down under.
"I would love to tour. We're just trying to figure it out," she finally says.
And for now, for all us Aussie fans, that will have to do.
