Shirvo asked the singer about the date clash with Sydney’s Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras parade, with Minogue booked to play Qudos Bank Arena on the same night as the annual event.

“Oh, I don’t know. Did we think about that? Look, Mardi Gras goes all night, so both are possible,” Minogue said, brushing off the clash.

“What this needs is stamina.”

Minogue then let out some secrets about the set list for the new tour saying most of the songs would come from Disco, Tension, and Tension II.

“The set list is always the hardest in the beginning. But I would like songs from Disco, which I didn’t get to tour during COVID time. So, Disco, Tension, Tension II,” Minogue said.

“(But) there will be some of the hits that I can’t not do.

“But, I am definitely leaving some space for (it to be a bit) like a rave. There were sections I did, as far back as 1998, the Intimate and Live Tour, a little something in there I’d like to explore and add that to the Tension tour.”

Minogue spoke about her renewed success in the past year, as hit song Padam Padam rocketed up the charts globally and she enjoyed a residency at The Venetian Resort, in Las Vegas.

“I feel like a lot of people might see what I am doing and say, ‘stuff is possible, stuff is possible’,” Minogue said.

Minogue also performed with Madonna in Los Angeles, joining the US star for as a guest during her Celebration tour.

“We danced around it a few times over the years of working together … and it finally happened,” Minogue said.

“She lost her mother to breast cancer — she knows about my story (Minogue battled breast cancer in 2005).

“On top of that, just being two women who have survived in the industry.

“The crowd went wild, and it was a moment for me. It was all good.”
