The Block Contestants Furious Over 'Secret Clause' That Benefits ...

The Block contestants Kylie and Brad Baker have quit the show and it looks like they won’t be returning for the auction. On Sunday night’s episode, Kylie said she would forfeit all her potential profit and prize money, if it meant she didn’t have to return.

However, the troubled pair may be able to skip the auction and still walk away with a bunch of cash, which the rest of the cast are said to be unhappy about. 

According to Yahoo! Lifestyle, there’s a “secret clause” that will allow Kylie and Brad to still keep any profit and prize money won, even though they left the show early. 

“If that property sells for over the price guides and they haven’t attended the auction — most of the other contestants think the couple shouldn’t be able to collect any of the money the house makes,” a source claimed.

Kylie and Brad left after the final room reveal, but there was still another challenge set for the entire cast which they missed. While their fellow contestants understood the reason for their departure, everybody was “fatigued” at that point. 

One contestant didn’t hold back, saying: “There was a lot more that needed to be finished by [production] after the couple quit the show. House Four was the least completed property and other builders just finished it off and made a lot of the remaining decisions.

“It seems unreasonable not to finish your house and still be eligible for the same percentages.”

Another contestant seemed a bit more understanding. “I think it felt like a dream and we were all so tired that we weren’t thinking that [Kylie and Brad] should be made to stay,” they said.

“Ask anyone who has been on any reality show that shoots for 12 weeks and they will tell you it’s always on your mind that you might just walk off set and not return.”

It’s still unclear whether or not Kylie will turn up to the auction, and it seems that even producers won’t know until the day. 

“I think that the finale will be dramatic with or without them,” a producer told Yahoo! Lifestyle. “Everyone is invited back and everyone has been offered the same arrangements but it really will be a case of no one really knowing if Kylie will turn up, except Kylie.”

Last week, Brad told Daily Mail that he was still discussing the possibility of attending the auction with Kylie. 

“That’s something that I am still talking to my wife about, we don’t know what we’re doing… it’s not ruled out, I guess we will see.” 

He also refused to confirm if he was back together with Kylie. My spidey sense is telling me that they’re secretly planning to attend and will put on a united front, showing off that their marriage is solid. I could be totally off base here, so we’ll find out on November 9!
