Lakers Lose First Preseason Game: Did LeBron James and Bronny ...

The Los Angeles Lakers kicked off their preseason on Friday with a 107-124 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, a game in which LeBron James did not play, but his son Bronny James did participate.

Anthony Davis also sat out, marking the debut of JJ Redick as an assistant coach for the purple and gold team.

Austin Reaves led the Lakers with 16 points and 7 assists, while rookie Dalton Knecht also contributed 16 points. Bronny James, another rookie, added 2 points, 3 blocks, 1 rebound, and 1 assist in his debut.

For the Timberwolves, Josh Minott shined with 22 points and 8 rebounds, and Luka Garza added 20 points and 9 rebounds. The Wolves played without Dominican star Karl-Anthony Towns, who recently traded Minnesota for the New York Knicks.

In that deal, the Wolves acquired Donte DiVincenzo, who scored 11 points in this game, while Julius Randle did not take the court.
