We love a mysteriously multifaceted pop star, and Lana Del Rey checked another box when seen working a shift (in uniform) at a Waffle House in Alabama on Thursday.

The New York-born singer/songwriter has been spotted in multiple Alabama cities this week, this time inside a Florence location of the popular restaurant chain, delighting fans with selfies and good vibes.

Muscle Shoals resident Karina Cisneros Juarez met Del Rey and even snapped a pic with the singer. “To say I am ecstatic is an understatement!!!” Juarez posted on her Facebook page. “I have been a huuuge fan of Lana Del Rey for over a decade, so meeting her today was truly insane.”

Del Rey even autographed a copy of her 2019 book “Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass.”

“She was there, wearing a uniform and everything,” Juarez told AL.com. “It was a bit surreal. I just told her how much I loved her music and her work in general. She was super lovely, and incredibly nice.”

“Casual day in Florence meeting Lana Del Rey,” fan Macy Ladner posted on Facebook, along with a photo of herself with Del Rey inside the restaurant.

“It was great! She was so down to earth and real with us,” Ladner told AL.com. “Talked with me and my friend about our jobs as teachers, about how she’s working on a new recording.”

A Twitter account called @honeymounz also shared photos and video of Del Rey working behind the Waffle House counter, refilling a cup of coffee and serving a customer. They even shared a close-up of the singer’s nametag that reads, “LANA.”

Del Rey was also spotted on North Court Street in downtown Florence, Alabama, Tuesday night when she signed makeup artist Savana Vinson’s left arm. Vinson shared a video and other cool images from her brief encounter with Del Rey, who appeared poised and smiling in images Vinson and other fans have shared.

Known for moody and immersive songs, her hits include “Summertime Sadness” (nearly 1 billion Spotify streams), “Video Games” (more than 700 million streams), “West Coast” (around 500 million streams) and many others. Her discography includes her self-titled debut, 2012′s “Born to Die,” 2014′s “Ultraiolence” and 2021′s “Blue Banisters.” Del Rey has more than 14 million YouTube subscribers, over 11 million Facebook followers and more than 5 million Instagram followers. She also has six Grammy nominations.

“Her whispery vocals and auteur production are a clear influence on Gen Z superstar Billie Eilish,” AL.com’s Matt Wake writes. According to Lanaboards.com, the singer was spotted out in Florence while “dining out for pizza.” Wearing a blue mini-dress, denim jacket, sneakers and cool eye makeup, Del Rey posed for selfies with several fans.

AL.com reported that while in Florence, Del Rey stayed at the Marriott Shoals hotel. She was also spotted in Birmingham where she was seen by fans at a nail salon and, reportedly, a Starbucks. Fan Jordan Settles, who found himself seated by Del Rey at a “random Birmingham nail salon” posted on social media, “THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE. I felt like I had known her my whole life. She was so sweet.”

And what brings Del Rey to Alabama? Wake reported that while she has a handful of festival gigs scheduled, she is not currently touring. Her ninth studio album, “Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd,” released in March and topped the charts in several countries. The second verse to the song “Paris, Texas” from her new LP goes, “I took a train to Spain, just a notebook in my hand/Then I went to see some friends of mine, down in Florence, Alabama.”

AL.com checked in with the Shoals’ iconic recording studios, FAME Studios and Muscle Shoals Sound, to see if Del Rey has been recording with them and were told she has not.
