Meanwhile, Chelsea are situated inside the Premier League's top three, as their evolution under the management of ex-Leicester boss Enzo Maresca continues. Before the break, Maresca's men held London rivals Arsenal to a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge, but they are winless in three domestic fixtures. Curiously, the Blues have won just one of their last seven league games immediately after an international break - though they started to turn that trend around by beating Bournemouth 1-0 earlier this season.

Marking the return of Premier League action after the international break, Leicester City today host opponents they last defeated in the 2021 FA Cup final. More recently, the Foxes have lost three of their last four games across all competitions, including a 3-0 reverse at the hands of Manchester United last time out. A tally of 10 points sees Steve Cooper's side occupying 15th spot in the top-flight table, three clear of 18th-placed Crystal Palace in the relegation zone.
