“I’m excited to see what the future holds,” says Harvey Elliott after being named an EA SPORTS FC Future Star for 2024.

The Liverpool No.19 – who marked his 100th appearance for his boyhood club with a goal in Wednesday’s 4-1 win over Luton Town at Anfield – follows in the footsteps of teammates including Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ibrahima Konate as a Future Stars inductee.

Future Stars celebrates young players enjoying breakout seasons while predicting the next generation of emerging talents on the world stage.

Already a Premier League, Carabao Cup and Emirates FA Cup winner during his time at Anfield, Elliott is still full of ambitious goals for himself and Liverpool.

“My past has been amazing and I’ve experienced a lot of great things. I’m excited to see what the future holds,” the 20-year-old details.

“One big thing that I want to achieve with Liverpool, I think would just have to be winning absolutely everything again, hopefully not [like] in the COVID period as well so we can celebrate with the fans, which would be great.

“I feel like it’s a big goal of ours and we want to achieve these things again.”

Elliott’s off-pitch pleasures include music – “I think my other passion if I wasn’t a footballer would have to be a DJ” – and time with family, who are alongside him in the city.

But ultimately it all comes back to football.

“I would [never] change my commitment to the game and my work-rate as well, it’s just standard,” he pledges.

“If I have that work-rate, that desire and hunger every time I step on the field, it’s my main focus and I want to give it my all.”
