Start planning your summer and celebrate the 12th iteration of New York’s beloved Governors Ball Music Festival. Taking place Friday June 9th through Sunday June 11th at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, NY, Governors Ball 2023 is ready to kickoff your summer.
The festival will bring together 60+ artists with a stacked lineup of headliners including Kendrick Lamar, Lizzo, ODESZA, Lil Uzi Vert, and Lil Nas X. We can’t forget about the up-and-coming artists we love to feature here at Melodic Mag who are scheduled to play the fest – including Zolita, Alexander 23, 070 Shake, Flipturn, Charlie Burg, and Maude Latour.
Returning festgoers will notice the festivals change of location to Flushing Meadows Corona Park, directly across the metro from the previous site of Citi Field. The new location is home to historical NY events including two World’s Fairs and the annual US Open Tennis Championship. The new location will be an enclave of inviting green space and grassy fields, perfect to relax and enjoy the music.
Governors Ball is more than a music festival, as they also partner with local non-profits via the Governors Ball Gives Back program. Last year, the program donated $50,000 dollars to be split between Planned Parenthood and Everytown for Gun Safety. This year in addition to raising funds for the two charities, Governors Ball is proud to be working with the Queens Night Market to feature the markets favorite local vendors.
All tickets tiers are now on sale. New this year for tickets is the GA+ ticket type which provides access to air-conditioned restrooms and an exclusive shaded lounge area with its own bar, food vendors, and water refill stations.
