In Episode 1, host Sophie Monk invited the five girls to 'try before they buy' with the chance to kiss two boys of their choosing before coupling up.

The girls jumped at the chance and there was one boy having a very, very good time, as Zane was chosen for a kiss by four of the five girls, Mimi, Hannah, Em and Xanthe.

Talk about a friendly introduction!

Zane's popularity continued when the girls had to race to stand on the heart platform of the boy they wanted to couple up with.

Mimi, Hannah and Em all chose to stand on Zane's heart – what a day for him!

"I think the girl that I'd like to couple up, who definitely caught my eye at the start, would definitely be Mimi," Zane said.

"Feel good," Mimi beamed.

This left Hannah and Mimi to choose between Indigo and Niko, and thankfully there were no further love triangles!

They had already gotten to know each other's mouths very well, but the newly formed couples then had to... talk.

For some, sparks flew instantly.

"One thing I look for in a girl is someone that when you talk to them, the conversation just flows really easily. I felt like I could just talk to her forever," Kane said after a chat with Xanthe.

But for others, it didn't go so smoothly. First, 23-year-old Indigo put his foot in it by telling Em "27 isn't that bad".

"Not too bad? Thank you so much, Indigo, thank you so much! 'It's not too bad, you're not like old and decrepit just yet'," she replied sarcastically.

He then made another faux pas after learning Em was vegan.

"Would you cook meat?" he asked, to a resounding no.

Abort, Indigo! Abort!

"Not for yourself, for me?" he continued.

Em recounted the conversation in the Beach Hut and we don't think she was impressed.

"Would you cook me meat?" she mocked. "No it's not 1950s, I'm not a f--king housewife, like I've got s--t to do babes. Are you going to cook me some food? That was an ick for me."

Ooof – things are off to a spicy start in Spain, aren't they!? (Thank goodness spice is vegan!)
