'Turned off his concentration': Marnus fumes after Ashes villain's ...
Marnus Labuschagne was left fuming after his dismissal on day two of the fifth Ashes Test at The Oval, with Stuart Broad’s antics potentially contributing to the Australian batter’s demise.
In the 43rd over of Australia’s first innings, Broad walked towards the striker’s end and flipped the bails, prompting a laugh from Labuschagne, who at the right-hander’s was unbeaten on 9.
The following delivery, England quick Mark Wood found the Queenslander’s outside edge, with Joe Root holding onto a superb one-handed chance at first slip. Broad gave the Queenslander a pat on the back before celebrating the breakthrough with his teammates.
“He’ll have that in his list,” former England captain Nasser Hussain joked on Sky Sports commentary.
“The last Ashes was completely void, so this one will be added to his list.”
Former Test batter Mark Butcher continued: “It could have just turned off his concentration for a second.”

Injured Australian spinner Nathan Lyon is renowned for flipping the bails while in the field, but typically only when he’s bowling.
“Players shouldn’t be coming in and playing with the bails,” former Australian bowler Glenn McGrath said on BBC Test Match Special.
Before returning to the sheds, Labuschagne had a few words with umpire Joel Wilson, seemingly complaining about the poor visibility.
After the lunch break, Broad removed Usman Khawaja and Travis Head in quick succession to put England in a dominant position at The Oval.
