Steve Smith - 7Didn't make a century in his first series as a full-time opener but only because he ran out of partners in the second innings of the second Test.
Nice to see him bat through the innings, a good sign for Australia.
Also took a couple of good catches.

Usman Khawaja - 6Pretty solid. Probably a solid summer without making a big score.
He took a couple of nice catches at slip also which is a good sign, considering his maiden appearance at first slip.

Marnus Labuschagne - 3Struggled with the bat throughout the summer.
He's had such a great start to his career that there was always going to be a lull somewhere, that's just the game of cricket.
There's some things for him to work on, particularly that ball on or around off stump, it's just squaring him up.

Cameron Green - 4Got 40 in the second innings of the second Test.
Was very useful with the ball and brings a lot to the table but needs to work on his batting.
He needs to work on getting started with the bat, looks a bit lead footed at the start of his innings.

Travis Head - 6Has now been dismissed four balls in a row at the Gabba - extraordinary really.
You put that with a hundred at the Adelaide Oval which was the difference in the game.
Gets a six because of a man of the match performance followed by a King Pair.
That's Travis Head.

Mitchell Marsh - 4Disappointing series against the West Indies after a very good one against Pakistan.
That's the ebbs and flows of Test cricket.

Alex Carey - 7Looked pretty good and kept well.
Very useful 65 in the first innings, would've loved to see him kick on but it got Australia back in the game.

Mitchell Starc - 7Like all the bowlers, was consistent throughout the summer.
Along with Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood, they just form a formidable trio.

Pat Cummins - 7For the first time struggled with the ball and looked a bit tired in the second Test match but contributed handy runs.
Captained the side well.

Nathan Lyon - 7Bowled much better in the second innings of the second Test.
Got a bit of energy back on the ball, got the bounce back in his bowling.

Josh Hazlewood - 9Consistently Australia's best bowler of the summer and certainly their best bowler of this series.
Looked threatening every time he bowled this series.
