Authorities provide update after woman's fall at Marvel Stadium
A woman is being treated at Royal Melbourne Hospital after a fall at the Round 8 AFL match between Carlton and Brisbane at Marvel Stadium on Friday night.
Shortly before the first bounce, the woman reportedly fell from the second tier above the Brisbane supporters’ end of the ground, with first responders photographed behind the goalsquare.
Ahead of the fixture, Fox Footy reported the woman was conscious and being attended to by staff at Marvel Stadium.
“There’s unfortunately been a supporter injured in the crowd this evening,” Fox Sports reporter Drew Jones said on Friday.
“She’s conscious and being attended to by staff at Marvel Stadium at the moment, some talk she may have fallen from the second level down to the set of seats at the other end of the ground, we hope she’s ok.”
