The Sharks have scored right on half-time with Trindell flicking a lovely blind pass to Nikora who scored under the posts.

The Storm could have gone in 10 points up, now they are back within a try.

Katoa looks to be in trouble for the Sharks after coming down awkwardly on his knee after leaping for a high ball with Xavier Coates.

He’s still on the field but he is clearly in pain when he tries to run.

Big issue to see

Storm adds to lead

Munster was hit off the ball by Briton Nikora and it left him on his haunches.

A penalty was called and the Storm, who were about 30m from goal, took the penalty kick to further grow their lead.

Warbrick is over

Storm winger Will Warbrick is over for his club’s second try with Nick Meaney flicking a lovely last-minute pass to his mate.

The Sharks made a bad error in their own half and were caught on the last tackle, that was all the home side needed.

A set restart when they were already in their attacking half was all the encouragement they needed.

A move to the right saw Sione Katoa score in the corner.

Hynes pulled his conversion from the right sideline.

Storm 6, Sharks 4 after 14 minutes.

The wind is an issue

The wind is causing some issues inside the stadium as it is swirling around.

Kennedy’s drop on the kickoff was partly due to the wind picking up the ball while the Sharks first high ball was hung up in the breeze.

We will see both clubs testing each other out with bomb kicks today.

Storm 6, Sharks 0 after seven minutes.

4.09pm

Munster scores first

Sharks fullback William Kennedy dropped the ball from the kickoff and the Storm have taken full advantage.

Within a couple of tackles the Storm were at the line and Cam Munster took the ball, faked the pass and powered over for the try.

Munster and wife Bianca welcomed their third child during the week and now he has the first try.

Storm 6, Sharks 0 after four minutes.
