Michael Schumacher's inner circle has remained tight a decade on from a tragic skiing accident in the French Alps in 2013 which left him in a medically-induced coma for 250 days. Schumacher suffered devastating head injuries from the crash and his condition has remained a closely guarded secret in the almost decade that has followed, with his family limiting the number of people who can visit him.
Michael's wife Corinna is said to be incredibly protective of the seven-time world champion's privacy and he has not been publicly since his accident. No details on his condition have been confirmed by the family since 2013.

Only his closest family and a select few friends are allowed to visit the 54-year-old's bedside but according to a Swedish newspaper that exclusive list has now been extended to include the girlfriend of his son Mick. Danish model Laila Hasanovic has been dating Mick since last August and according to the paper after a vote of confidence at the end of 2023, Hasanovic was granted access to Schumacher.

The news comes just days after Mick took to social media to post a touching message to his father for his 55th birthday. In a post on his Instagram story on Wednesday, Mick shared a picture of himself as a child alongside his father Michael captioned: "Happy birthday to the best dad ever. Love you."
Schumacher's daughter, Gina-Maria, also shared a photo of herself alongside her brother and father with the caption: "Happy birthday Papa! Throwback to one of many of our adventures."
News of Hasanovic's inclusion into the inner circle will come much to the annoyance of Schumacher's former manager Willi Weber who has repeatedly expressed his anger at not being granted permission to see him. "When I think of Michael now, unfortunately I don't have anymore hope that I will see him again," Weber told Cologne Express. "No positive news after 10 years."
Jean Todt issues heartbreaking update on F1 legend's conditionClose family friend and former Ferrari boss Jean Todt said the Formula One legend is "no longer the Michael we knew" in a heartbreaking update on the sporting icon's condition last month. "Michael is here, so I don’t miss him," he told French newspaper L’Equipe. "He's just not the Michael he used to be.
"He’s different and he’s wonderfully guided by his wife and children who protect him. His life is different now, and I am privileged to share moments with him. Unfortunately, fate struck him ten years ago. He is no longer the Michael we knew in Formula One."
