Daicos is already contracted until 2025, but the new deal is understood to add a further four years to his tenure at Collingwood.

In his second AFL season, the superstar midfielder is averaging 32 possessions and ranks first in for total effective disposals.

What will Nick Daicos’ salary be?

Salary details for Daicos’ new contract have yet to be negotiated, but it is expected to be one of the most valuable contracts the AFL has seen.

The 20-year-old will feature heavily on Brownlow night and is more than deserving of a maiden All-Australian blazer.

With individual honors on their way, afl.com.au’s Damien Barrett believes Daicos will be financially rewarded.

“It could well be the biggest deal ever signed… it’s deserving of every cent,” he said on AFL Daily.

“He’s gonna be an All-Australian in his second year, he could well have a Brownlow Medal.”

Still on his $115,000 salary draft contract, Daicos can earn as much as $250,000 this year with per-match payments.

When will Nick Daicos sign the contract?

Daicos is expected to sign a contract within the coming months, although the good news could come sooner for Collingwood fans.

The Magpies have recently completed a signing spree, with Mason Cox, Ash Johnson, and Harvey Harrison all recommitting on Tuesday.

Josh Daicos, the brother of Nick, is also poised to sign a long-term contract that could extend his tenure a further six years, according to the Herald Sun.

Former captain Scott Pendlebury and coach Craig McRae are among others to re-sign this year, as Collingwood prepares for premiership campaigns to come.

Nick Daicos Nike deal

In May, Daicos practised putting pen to paper by signing a lucrative contract with sports apparel giants Nike.

The 20-year-old phenom joins Bulldogs midfielder Bailey Smith as one of the AFL’s most marketable players and one of its biggest off-field earners.

Daicos’ Nike boots deal is reported to be a long-term contract with five-figure earnings, per the Herald Sun.
