The Roosters have dumped the Sharks out of the finals with a huge 13-12 victory at Pointsbet Stadium on Sunday night, booking their spot in the second week of finals.

Craig Fitzgibbon couldn’t get the best of his former mentor Trent Robinson, with the Tricolours extending their winning streak to six.

Now the Roosters will face the Storm in the first confirmed semi final next week in a blockbuster clash.

Earlier, the Panthers are into their fourth straight preliminary final after the minor premiers dispatched the Warriors 32-6 in their qualifying final on Saturday afternoon.

Penrith superstar Nathan Cleary delivered another masterclass and they’ll now host either the Storm, Roosters or Sharks for a spot tin their fourth straight grand final.

The Panthers are trying to become the first club since the Eels in 1983 to win three straight titles.

The Warriors will host an elimination final next week against the Knights or the Raiders.

Meanwhile, the Broncos booked their week off with a thumping 26-0 win over the Storm on Friday night.

Brisbane, who collected the wooden spoon in 2020, will now host the Warriors, Knights or Raiders for a spot in their first grand final since 2015.

Melbourne will face the winner of the Sharks and Roosters who square off at 7:50pm AEST in Cronulla on Saturday night.
