NRL Grand Final entertainment guide: Lifelong Souths fan to ...
Aussie pop sensation The Kid LAROI is set to headline the entertainment at this weekend’s 2024 NRL Grand Final.
Born in Sydney’s inner west, The Kid LAROI is a Grammy nominated, multi-platinum, chart-topping global superstar who has broken through the American market.
His hit ‘Stay’ reached number one in Australia and America and was number two in the UK.
The 21-year-old’s selection as the NRL’s pre-grand final entertainment is a stark contrast to the AFL, who opted for international sensation Katy Perry as their pre-game entertainment.

NRL CEO Andrew Abdo said the artist “personifies the energy, excitement and ambition of Rugby League as we celebrate the end of another record-breaking season and look to take Rugby League to new frontiers in the future.
“He is one of the biggest music stars on the planet, and he also has Rugby League in his DNA having grown up in South Sydney and followed his beloved Rabbitohs from a very young age. He is set to supercharge an unbelievable day of Grand Final football,” Abdo said.
A passionate Rabbitohs fan, The Kid LAROI admitted he grew up “dreaming of playing Rugby League and making music and now I’m going to have this pinch myself moment of playing my music in front of a roaring crowd of Rugby League fans on Grand Final day.
“It really doesn’t get much better than that.”
The Kid LAROI’s act begins at 6:30pm AEST.
