Broncos Finalise NRLW Roster With Big Signings
The Brisbane Broncos have locked down the final spots on their NRLW roster for 2024 with a club legend plus one of Queensland’s best emerging talents.
Broncos “Original” Lavinia Gould has re-signed for another season with the club she loves, maintaining her spot as one of only five players still on the roster from the inaugural 2018 season along with Ali Brigginshaw, Julia Robinson, Chelsea Lenarduzzi and Mariah Denman.
Gould’s footy IQ, experience and versatility will make her a crucial cog in the Brisbane machine as they strive to continue their improvement under second-year coach Scott Prince.
The Broncos’ final place in the 24-player NRLW squad has been given to backrower Bree Spreadborough – one of the real finds of this year’s BMD Cup.
The Rockhampton-born CQ Capras forward produced a breakout season as she moved from the outside backs into the pack, statistically rating as one of the top-three forwards in the competition averaging 161 run metres and 22 tackles per game.
