At Grammys 2024, Olivia Rodrigo wore a gorgeous red gown amid a red flowered backdrop as she poured out her heart — and bled fake blood — for a performance of her hit single “Vampire.”

“I love singing about rage,” Rodrigo told the Associated Press earlier this month. “I think I’m a very happy kind of, you know, generally excited person. And I think that in my music and my songwriting, I can kind of express parts of myself that are not so easy to talk about in everyday life… I love just having a song where I can kind of scream and get all of my emotions out. I think it’s so therapeutic.”

The singer and songwriter is up for six nominations total at the Grammys 2024, including in three of the Big Four categories: Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year. After her first take of the chorus, Rodrigo pulled her hand away from the standing microphone to reveal to the cameras a stream of (fake) blood running down her wrist. A few dramatic singing poses later and the star's chest, collarbones, arms, and dress were covered in the fake blood. (Don't you just love a Twilight fan and former theater kid?)

The performance came as Rodrigo gears up for her GUTS World Tour, featuring openers Chappell Roan, PinkPantheress, The Breeders, and Remi Wolf. The tour will kick off in Palm Springs on February 23 and goes through August with stops in the U.S., Canada, and Europe announced so far — it's likely more dates will be announced in the coming months.
