VMAs 2024: X users ask if Orlando Bloom has ‘ever heard a Katy Perry song in his life’ after her performance
With chart-topping hits like Dark Horse and Firework, not many would be oblivious to Katy Perry’s countless pop anthems.
But following her performance at the 40th Video Music Awards on Wednesday night, fans aren’t sure her husband of five years Orlando Bloom has actually heard any of her music.
Taking the stage after receiving the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award for lifetime achievement from Bloom, Perry roared for 10 minutes as she performed her classics and debuted new track I’m His, He’s Mine with American artist Doechii.

Though as cameras repeatedly panned to Perry’s acting husband, viewers noticed the Pirates of the Caribbean star’s apparent lack of familiarity with her well-known bops.
“Orlando Bloom has never heard a Katy Perry song in his life. But good for him for supporting her,” one X user posted.
Another said, “Every cut to Orlando Bloom makes it seem like this is the first time he’s heard a Katy Perry song.”

The 39-year-old mother of one recently revealed X-rated details about the couple’s relationship.
“If I come downstairs and the kitchen is clean and you’ve done it all, you’ve done all the dishes, you’ve closed all the pantry doors... you better be ready to get your d*** sucked,” Perry told the Call Me Daddy podcast last week.
“I mean like literally, that is my love language,” she added.
Posting a shout out to the podcast on her Instagram, Perry was met with a hilarious response from Bloom that left fans in stitches.
“I’ve cleaned the whole house,” he commented.
