"They were different. Early on the halves were combining. The back three were absolutely awesome," Fittler says on Nine's coverage.

"Across the park they were just absolutely faultless."

Slater says it was all born out of the Kiwis energy.

"It all started with their energy. They had high energy for all 80 minutes. Once they got on top of the scoreboard, they could really sense the upset," he says.

"They played with a lot more composure this week compared to last," Smith adds.

"They took a lot of emotion into last week's match ... but today they worried about their football and thought about their football.

"I thought they (Australia) dearly missed Cam Murray today. He has a great ability to change the momentum of the game.

"It's one for the history books, that's for sure."
