NRL live updates: Penrith Panthers vs Canterbury Bankstown ...
And the try is given!
Bailey Simonsson ran over the top of Reece Walsh and got the ball down - did he score?
No I don't think he did.
A knock on as he attempted to ground the ball, terrific tackle from Corey Oates.
Parramatta will have a penalty though, Pat Carrigan was offside.
The Eels got such good field position because Carrigan gave away a penalty in their defensive half.
Sean Russell slots the goal from 10 metres out and the Eels lead 2-0.
Brilliant from Parramatta.
They capitalise on a poor drop from Cobbo to put the pressure on.
An excellent kick from Sanders gives Brisbane's defence plenty to think about, and it's Corey Oates who taps the ball dead.
More defence incoming for the Broncos.
What do the Broncos not need right now? Another injury.
Billy Walters has come up a bit sore after being involved in a tackle there.
He is remaining out on the field, but looked ginger.
The Eels in the blue kick off to the white-clad Broncos.
Let's switch track to Parramatta and the Eels' match against the Broncos.
Here's how the two teams line up.
(NRL.com)(NRL.com)(NRL.com)It will be fascinating to see how this patched up Brisbane side go against a Parramatta team that simply have to win.
The Eels are good at home it has to be said, they have won three (all of their wins this season) out of their four matches at the Western Sydney stadium.
Disappointing game all round.

It was a game high in intensity.
But the Panthers and Blues supporters will be desperately hoping that the hamstring injury is not as bad as is feared.
Key Event
Panthers grind out victory against BulldogsNathan Cleary has added more concerns to New South Wales Origin coach Michael Maguire after limping from the field in his side's 16-10 victory over the Bulldogs.
The Origin halfback reaggravated his troublesome hamstring just before half-time, limping from the field just before half time.
The Panthers led 12-0 at that stage thanks to tries to Luke Garner and Brian To'o, and were held try-less in the second half, with two penalty goals from Dylan Edwards keeping the scoreboard ticking over.
After huffing and puffing with no result, Matt Burton and Jacob Kiraz both crossed in the final 12 minutes of the match to give the Bulldogs hope.
But it was too little too late, as the Panthers earned their seventh win of the season to remain in third spot on the NRL ladder.
Tremendous defence from the Panthers, but eventually the Bulldogs pressure pays off.
Kiraz does well to finish on the right sideline, bundling over Brian To'o and Jarome Luai to score.
But it's too little, too late.
The kick is good to reduce the margin to 16-10, but that's full time.
Viliame Kikau is pinged for ruck interference and Dylan Edwards takes some time off the clock and slots the points to make the score 16-4.
Surely game over.
Oh dear, with all the focus on respecting referees, Matt Burton has overstepped the mark.
The referee, Liam Kennedy, who has been spot on all night, said Burton knocked the ball into a Panthers player, constituting a knock on.
He disagreed - a bit too strenuously - and was rightly penalised.
Not seen a replay of that incident yet until now... and it is a terrific decision live.
He went up to make a big take off a bomb kick forward, but he made contact with the Bulldogs player.
Wonderful stuff from the Bulldogs.
They won a penalty when Stephen Crichton used his experience to force interference at the ruck.
The Dogs spun the ball left with intent, then right, then up the middle, and then Matt Burton burrows over on the left side to give the Bulldogs fans hope.
Burton misses the kick though, 14-4 is the score.
It's started to fall apart for the Bulldogs.
(Getty Images)Three knock ons in as many minutes gives the Panthers a great chance to extend their lead.
But Penrith too are coughing up the ball at a rate not seen in the opening hour of this match.
(Getty Images)You'd have to think that fatigue must be setting in due to the intensity of the match.
And again it's a spot on decision from the officials.
It was a towering kick from Drew Hutchison at the end of a set with real intent.
Sunia Turuva was under it, Jacob Kiraz came through and made a superb catch but was tackled as he did so.
He passed the ball up off the ground, while he was being held, so his pop to Stephen Crichton should not have happened.
Good inventiveness though from the Bulldogs.
They're getting closer.
Josh Addo-Carr starts a move with a break down the short side on the left, and then finishes in the left corner a handful of tackles later.
However, the referee has correctly spotted a forward pass down the line and the chance goes begging.
It was lovely football from the Bulldogs, great movement and fast hands - you get the sense they just need one to give themselves the confidence that they can score - but it's not happening yet.
The two sides have started this second half much in the same way they started the first - with powerfun runs and equally strong tackles.
But there are penalties starting to come against the Bulldogs.
Drew Hutchison, Matt Burton and finally Josh Curran are pinged back-to-back-to-back.
The last is within kicking distance of the posts, so Dylan Edwards kicks through the posts and pushes the lead out to 14-0.
A hint of a hip drop, a graze of a crusher.
The boos ring out from the packed stands at Panther stadium and the Bunker, having been given a spell to look at it, decides it's play on.
And a poor start from Matt Burton from the kick off.
He's kicked the ball out on the full, giving the Panthers a penalty on half way.
BUT HANG ON!
Penrith doesn't find touch!
What a strange start to the second half...

Nathan Cleary out with hamstring injuryFox Sports are reporting that Nathan Cleary has suffered a re-occurrence of that hamstring injury and will be sent for scans tomorrow.
That's a bitter blow for the Panthers and, with Origin approaching, the Blues as well.
Thoughts and prayers for Michael Maguire...
