Parkway Drive 20th Anniversary Australian Tour Setlist Revealed

Parkway Drive kicked off their 20th-anniversary Australian tour in Brisbane last night (18 September), playing a career-spanning set that proved why they’re the country’s greatest, most successful heavy music export.

Taking over the Brisbane Entertainment Centre for one of two nights, the tour continues in Brisbane tomorrow (20 September), followed by dates at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena (Saturday, 21 September), Melbourne’s John Cain Arena (Sunday, 22 September and Tuesday, 24 September), Adelaide Entertainment Centre (Friday, 27 September), and wraps up at Perth’s RAC Arena—a venue upgrade—on Monday, 30 September. A tour that vocalist Winston McCall described as “one for the history books” upon its announcement earlier this year, Parkway Drive weren’t kidding, with the first show of the tour featuring a new setlist, production, and a whole lot of pyro.

As for the setlist, it’s time to look away if you don’t want spoilers, as we’re about to dig in.

For the first night of the tour, Horizons songs were well and truly back, with longtime favourites Carrion and Idols And Anchors back, the title track performed live for the first time since 2018, and Boneyards—the first performance of the tour featuring Confession/I Killed The Prom Queen’s Michael Crafter—one of the highlights of the night.

The band also honoured their debut album, Killing With A Smile, with a medley featuring the songs Gimme A D, It's Hard To Speak Without A Tongue, Smoke 'Em If Ya Got 'Em, and Romance Is Dead.

Parkway Drive, not keen on being a nostalgia act, also showcased newer albums, Ire and Reverence, with just two songs from their latest album, Darker Still. You can check out the 18-song career-spanning setlist below.
