This one is starting to get ugly quickly for the Giants now. Eight straight goals to the Swans.

HT: Swans take 40-point lead after second term avalancheSydney flexing its muscles in that quarter as they rammed on seven straight goals to end the first half.
Absolutely scintillating stuff from the ladder-leaders, who take a 40-point lead into the main break after leading by just three at quarter time.
"They've lost all composure," says Garry Lyon of the Giants in that quarter.
What a finish this is from Chad Warner!
Errol Gulden finds him with a brilliant short kick inside 50, and Warner marks it 45m out right on the boundary.
Warner, who has just eight touches this half due to being tagged, goes back and slots the set shot.
What a run this has been from the ladder leaders.
Hayden McLean missed a gettable set shot a few minutes ago, but he gets a second bite a the cherry here.
Another deep ball inside 50 from Rowbottom and Harry Himmelberg is adjudged to have held McLean in the marking contest.
Six straight goals for Sydney, and they're out to a 32-point lead now in no time.
A brilliant team goal from this Sydney!
They go from one end to an other with sheer willpower and get a goal out of it.
Absolutely nothing to do with this was pretty, outside of a lovely deft touch from the leading Logan McDonald to knock the ball into the path of Taylor Adams, who goals.
The Swans have four goals from turnovers so far today.
Jake Lloyd rams one home from outside 50 and the Swans have four goals in a row in eight minutes in this quarter!
The Swans out to a dangerous-looking 19-point lead, the Giants need a response immediately.
"This is what they do, and this is what they've done all year," Garry Lyon says on Fox Footy's coverage.
"There's a bit of an alarm bell going off for Adam Kingsley and the Giants."
The Brisbane Lions' Eric Hipwood slotted five goals in a record 79-point pounding of Port Adelaide that lifts the Lions into the top eight.
The Lions booted a 12 consecutive goals in their highest score against the Power, winning 23.14 (152) to 10.13 (73) at Adelaide Oval.
Orchestrated by midfielders Lachie Neale and Josh Dunkley, the Lions' third straight win hoists them to eighth spot ahead of Sunday matches.
The Power, whose third consecutive loss is their biggest ever to the Lions, were within six points early in the second quarter.
But propelled by Dunkley, who had 20 disposals and six tackles in a standout first half, the visitors kicked the next seven goals in a stunning 21-minute burst to the break.
The onslaught featured two majors each to Hipwood, Logan Martin and ruckman Oscar McInerney as Brisbane took a 45-point half-time lead, 12.8 to 5.5.
The Lions continued in top gear after the break, scoring another five consecutive goals and cracking the 100-point barrier just nine minutes into the third term.
When Hipwood converted his fifth major midway through the quarter — his side's 12th in a row — the Lions held a commanding 77-point advantage.
The prolific Dunkley finished with 32 disposals, while midfield mates Neale (37 disposals, 10 clearances), Dayne Zorko (25 disposals) and Zac Bailey (26, one goal) also thrived.
McInerney logged a career-high three goals and shared the hitouts with the Powers' recalled ruck Jordon Sweet 30-32, but the big Lion gathered eight clearances in his influential display.
Hipwood, who kicked six goals against the Western Bulldogs two games ago, feasted in attack alongside Joe Daniher (three goals), Morris and Cam Rayner (two goals, 20 disposals), while Hugh McCluggage and Bruce Reville also booted two goals each.
The Power, who lost goal sneak Willie Rioli (calf) pre-match, meekly folded when the Lions charged and could not score a goal for about 45 minutes.
Vice-captain Zak Butters (35 disposals, eight clearances) and skipper Connor Rozee (28 disposals) found few effective allies in the Power's fourth defeat in seven matches.
Forward Mitch Georgiades kicked three goals as the Power crashed to an unwanted record. Their previous heaviest loss to the Lions was 69 points in 2006.

Horror mix-up from Giants defenders lead to a goalOh no, this is a moment to forget for the Giants defenders.
A ball sent forward from the Swans looks like it's going to be gobbled up by the Giants, but Harry Himmelberg and Lachie Ash both leave the ball for the other, and James Rowbottom wins the footy.
It eventually ends up in the hands of Tom Papley, who dribbles one home from outside 50.
Adam Kingsley will be ripping his hair out with that goal.
Terrific forward pressure from Joel Amartey!
He doesn't get the goal, but his pressure is why the Swans have this goal.
A risky kick across the half-forward arc from Lachie Ash and Amartey spoils and brings the ball to ground level, and the ball ends in Errol Gulden's hands and he doesn't miss these.
Logan McDonald kicks his first of the evening and the Swans are back in front!
A searching kick inside 50 from Rowbottom, who is all over the place, and McDonald outduels Jack Buckley to take a wonderful contested mark.
McDonald slots the set shot from 45m out directly in front.
Jesse Hogan kicks his first of the evening and the Giants are in front early in the second quarter.
A bright start from Adam Kingsley's men after the break.

Rowbottom to face scrutiny over tackleSwans star James Rowbottom could face some scrutiny from the MRO after a tackle on Toby McMullin in the opening quarter.
Rowbottom was attempting to tackle McMullin on the wing, and the Giants youngster's head snapped back and hit the turf upon impact of the tackle.
The good news for the Swans is that McMullin doesn't look impacted by the tackle, but neither did Sam Walsh last night after that Patrick Dangerfield tackle.
Here's Nick Dal Santo's take on this tackle.
"I see that one slightly differently (to Dangerfield), given that his arms weren't pinned, he had possession of the football and was still able to handball the ball away," he says on Fox Footy's coverage.
"It's different to the Dangerfield one where both arms were pinned and momentum took them both problem.
"I think that brace for contact could've been held slightly differently, given that the arms were free.
"Both players had momentum, plus he's bounced back onto his feet."
Another interesting watch moving forward.

QT: Swans with a rare quarter-time leadSydney has taken on all comers so far this season, but the first quarter has been their kryptonite.
The Swans rank just 10th in the competition in first quarters, but have found themselves with a rare quarter-time lead here, albeit a slim one.
The weather isn't the best and it's been a little slippery underfoot at the Showgrounds, and it looks like we're in for a thriller this evening.
Giants star Tom Green is the top-ranked player on the ground after a whopping 15 disposals in the opening quarter.
James Rowbottom leads the way for the Swans with 11 touches.
Jake Riccardi hits the scoreboard for the Giants now! Suddenly this one has opened all the way up.
A deep kick inside 50 from Josh Kelly, and a lovely contested mark from Riccardi in the goal square.
It's suddenly raining goals at the Showgrounds as Justin McInerney kicks Sydney's second of the afternoon.
Brilliant follow-up work from Brodie Grundy after the centre bounce, as he dishes it off to McInerney for the goal assist.
He's had a monster first quarter, Grundy, with nine disposals and eight hitouts already. GWS big man Kieran Briggs getting a bath at the moment.
Toby Greene gets the Giants on the board, who else would it be?
A crucial spill from Dane Rampe on the 50m arc, and the Giants skipper snaps up the loose ball, slams it on the boot and it floats in.
Greene up and about early with five touches to go along with that goal. Sensational stuff.
Nick Blakey, absolutely brilliant here!
The Lizard with three possessions as the Swans go from a kick-in to a goal to Hayden McLean.
Blakey took the initial kick-in and then received the ball twice before putting a brilliant kick inside 50 down McLean's throat.
"It needed someone to break it open a little bit, and they've got the capability through someone like Nick Blakey," says Garry Lyon on Fox Footy's coverage.
We're 10 minutes into this match, and the wait for the first goal of the match continues.
Errol Gulden leads all player with eight disposals, while Isaac Heeney has seven touches of his own.
The Giants with nine tackles to Sydney's four so far.
All the other key stats are relatively even between the two teams, it's a proper arm-wrestle.
