Portugal take over top spot in Group F
NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Portugal dominated Turkey, 3-0, giving them top spot in Group F and it qualified the squad to the knockout stages of the Euros.
Goals by Bernardo Silva, an own goal by Turkey, and Bruno Fernandes were the difference in a Portugal victory. Cristiano Ronaldo assisted Fernandes for Portugal’s third goal.
In the other Group F fixture, Georgia and Czechia played to a 1-1 draw.
Portugal possess six points in the group, Turkey have three, Georgia and Czechia bring up the bottom with one point.
Georgia and Portugal meet up at 2 p.m. on Wednesday on FOX 8. At the same time, Czechia and Turkey are on FS1.
