Brisbane mum found as winner of $100 million Powerball jackpot
A Brisbane woman almost lost her ticket in the $100 million Powerball before realising she had won big.
She is not only the state's biggest lottery winner, but also the third-biggest lottery winner in Australian history.
The woman revealed she only checked her ticket, that was sitting in the glovebox of her car, after returning from her morning run and hearing of a mystery winner in the region.
"The funny thing is too, I almost lost it. I had to pull over on the way home from the shops because I thought I had left it there," she said.
"After that, I put it in my glovebox, and I completely forgot about it until this morning.
"I'm scared to breathe in case this isn't real. We're in complete shock."
She had purchased the ticket while shopping to treat herself ahead of her upcoming birthday.

The woman said she is unsure how she'll spend her money, saying she still needs to fathom her win.
"We don't even know what's next. We've worked so hard our whole lives for everything we've had, and we really don't live a lavish lifestyle," she said.
"We'd like to do some travelling. Maybe a family holiday somewhere. We've always wanted to go see New Zealand and Fiji."
The winning numbers in Powerball draw 1475 last night were 16, 24, 11, 4, 10, 18 and 23. The all-important Powerball number was 6.
The Brisbane woman was the only division one winner.
