A lucky NSW punter has taken home the $40 million Powerball jackpot, but any details about just who has won the life-changing sum is a secret.

Any information about whoever holds the single winning entry will remain confidential.

The winning numbers were 32, 1, 30, 11, 23, 17, and 20, with a Powerball of 16.

As well as the sole Division One prize, 27 entries each won a $26,016 share of the Division Two prize pool.

And about 100 Division Three winning ticket-holders will each take home $8,161.

The latest jackpot win comes after an Adelaide man took home a record $150 million prize last month.

“I just bought my ticket as I was filling up the car the other day and randomly bought my ticket there,” he told The Lott at the time.

“I can’t believe I walked away with the winning ticket!”
