Nine-time NBA All-Star Russell Westbrook is reportedly expected to join the Denver Nuggets next season after the Clippers and Jazz agreed to a sign-and-trade deal.

According to ESPN, the Clippers are sending Westbrook, a second-round pick swap and cash to the Jazz in a sign-and-trade deal for guard Kris Dunn.

Westbrook, a former MVP, is expected to reach a buyout agreement with the Jazz before joining the Nuggets as a free agent, according to the report.

The Bleacher Report claims that Dunn will sign a three-year, AU$25 million contract as part of the deal.

Westbrook averaged 11.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.1 steals in 68 games with the Clippers last season.

The 35-year-old, expected to come off the bench at Denver, will link up with superstar Nikola Jokic and guard Jamal Murray at the Nuggets.
