The 25-year-old singer followed her hit song by debuting a track and music video titled "Please Please Please" on June 6.

The music video for “Espresso” ends with officers arresting her, and “Please Please Please” opens with her sitting in jail before getting bailed out. It also appears that a snippet of “Please Please Please” audio plays at the end of the “Espresso" music video.

As Carpenter is on her way out of jail in "Please Please Please," she sees officers hauling in actor Barry Keoghan, her love interest in the production.

The singer visits Keoghan in jail until he is released, and then he continues to make questionable choices. Keoghan is seen fighting a group of men in a restaurant's storage area and in another scene, pointing a gun at a woman who is quickly filling a bag with money. As Keoghan is in and out of jail, Carpenter is there for him every time.

Keoghan being casted as the leading man fuels existing rumors that the pair is dating in real life.

"I heard that you’re an actor, so act like a stand-up guy," Carpenter sings at one point of the song.

Keoghan is becoming a household name from his role in the 2022 film "The Banshees of Inisherin," which earned him an Academy Award nomination, and the 2023 thriller "Saltburn."

Here's everything you need to know about the "Please Please Please" song lyrics.

What does Sabrina Carpenter's 'Please Please Please' song mean?

The lyrics in Carpenter's "Please Please Please" focuses on being in love with someone whom others don't approve of.

"I promise ‘em that you’re different / And everyone makes mistakes," she sings. "But just don’t."

She then asks him to prove the naysayers wrong.

"Please, please, please, don’t prove ‘em right," she adds. "And please, pleasе, please don’t bring me to tеars when I just did my makeup so nice."

(Carpenter’s music video on her official YouTube page shows a lyric discrepancy: The video caption says “don’t prove ‘em right” while the video description reads “don’t prove I’m right.” TODAY.com has reached out to Carpenter’s rep for clarification).

What does Sabrina Carpenter say in 'Please Please Please'?

I know I have good judgment.

I know I have good taste.

It’s funny and it’s ironic that only I feel that way.

I promise ‘em that you’re different and everyone makes mistakes.

But just don’t.

I heard that you’re an actor, so act like a stand-up guy.

Whatever devil’s inside you, don’t let him out tonight.

I tell them it’s just your culture and everyone rolls their eyes.

Yeah, I know.

All I’m asking, baby

Please, please, please, don't prove 'em right

And please, pleasе, please, don’t bring me to tеars when I just did my makeup so nice

Heartbreak is one thing, my ego’s another

I beg you, don’t embarrass me, motherf---er

Ah, oh. Please, please, please (Ah, ah, ah)

I have a fun idea, babe, maybe just stay inside

I know you’re craving some fresh air, but the ceiling fan is so nice (It’s so nice, right?)

And we could live so happily if no one knows that you’re with me

I’m just kidding, but really (kinda), really, really

Please, please, please, don’t prove 'em right

And please, please, please, don’t bring me to tears when I just did my makeup so nice

Heartbreak is one thing, my ego’s another

I beg you, don’t embarrass me, motherf---er

Ah, oh. Please, please, please (Ah, ah, ah)

If you wanna go and be stupid, don’t do it in front of me

If you don’t wanna cry to my music, don’t make me hate you prolifically

Please, please, please (please)

Please, please, please (please)

Please (please), please (please), please.
