Kyle Feldt and Valentine Holmes’ time in a Cowboys jersey came to a premature end after the two were forced from the field in Friday’s semi-final loss to the Sharks.

Feldt, who is off to the Super League after 12 seasons with the Cowboys, suffered a calf injury in the 49th minute.

He was then joined on the sideline by Holmes in the final three minutes.

Holmes looked to pick up a leg injury after scoring his second try of the night but pushed on. The star centre, however, later to succumbed to the injury when he fell to the ground and had to be assisted off the field.

The 29-year-old Queensland Origin representative will join the Dragons next season after five years with the Cowboys.
