BELLEVILLE, New York (WWNY) - High school and college soccer were among the games people played on Wednesday.
The Panthers of Belleville Henderson hosted undefeated Sackets Harbor in a boys’ Frontier League soccer matchup.
- First half: off the direct kick, Panthers goalie Kash Gordinier makes the stop.
- Back the other way, Patriots goalie Damon Cerow comes up with the save off the corner kick.
- Sackets Harbor strikes first on an own goal off the corner.
- The game went into overtime, where Spencer Oliva scored the game winner.
Sackets Harbor beat Belleville Henderson 2-1 in overtime.
General Brown met Carthage in boys’ Frontier League soccer under the lights in Dexter.
- First half: General Brown threatening, but Carthage goalie Gavin Hall makes the save.
- Back the other way, Lions netminder Kael Hoselton makes the diving stop.
- Kaleb Talbot and Joe Stephan would score second-half goals.
Carthage blanked General Brown 2-0.
The Panthers of Belleville Henderson hosted Alexandria in girls’ Frontier League soccer.
- It was scoreless in the second half when Panthers goalie Eily Vaughn comes up with the save on the Alexandria attempt.
- Back the other way, Anna Stacy gets loose behind the Alexandria defense and dents the back of the net. It’s 1-0 Belleville Henderson.
- Abigail Edgar scored for Alexandria.
Alexandria and Belleville Henderson played to a 1-all tie.
In men’s Liberty League soccer, St. Lawrence hosted Clarkson in a Route 11 battle.
- First half: St. Lawrence jumps in front when Baker Diaz sticks home the loose ball in the box. The Saints are on top 1-0.
- Clarkson ties it when Zach Shufelt sticks home the bobble by Saints goalie George Charalambous, tying the game at 1.
The Saints and the Golden Knights play to a 1-all tie.
