Group A Poland win 4-3 against Czechia. The Women’s Continental Cup kicked off with Poland and Czechia face off. Matejkova scored the first goal of the tournament for Czechia in the first period, taking a 1-0 lead into the second.

Poland wasted no time to level the game with Matusiak’s strike in the period. However, the Czechs added two more goals courtesy of Dlouha and Duchatschova to take a 3-1 lead.

In the third period, Poland found their groove and scored three goals to secure the first win of the tournament with a slim 4-3 scoreline. Bednarska, Kwiatkowska, and Sudyk all contributed to Poland’s comeback victory.

Spain win 4-0 against Switzerland. Spain cruised to a convincing victory over Switzerland in the second match of the tournament, dominating the proceedings from start to finish. Jesse opened the scoring with a strike just two minutes into the game, to set the tone for Spain’s commanding performance.

Spain, already ahead by a goal, extended their lead with three more. Carol’s goal and Sara’s brace secured a 4-0 advantage.

In the final period, the Swiss were still unable to find the back of the net, struggled to penetrate Spain’s solid defence. Spain maintained their grip on the game to a 4-0 win.
