Sophia Bush Is Dating Soccer Star Ashlyn Harris

Sophia Bush has a new all-star in her life, and I mean that strictly in the sports sense, not in the blanket, pop culture definition of the word that took off in the early aughts thanks to Smash Mouth.

The former One Tree Hill star, 41, has apparently begun seeing Ashlyn Harris, 37, the retired goalkeeper for the US Women’s National soccer team. Per People, the two went on their first date “a few weeks ago.” Harris’s divorce from her USWNT teammate Ali Krieger was made public last week, though the court documents were dated September. Harris and Krieger share two children together.

Sophia Bush is also newly single. The actor, 41, divorced her husband of 13 months, Grant Hughes, two months ago.

“After being friends for years, and running in the same social circles, Sophia and Ashlyn went out on their first dinner date a couple of weeks ago,” a source revealed to People on October 17. “This is so recent, and they are both beginning new chapters.”

The same source added that there is nothing “salacious” about either party’s separation timeline. “Although it’s new information to the public, Ashlyn and Ali’s divorce began months ago and they have been living apart since the summer,” the source noted. Bush and Hughes, meanwhile, continue to run their nonprofit together and remain “good friends.”
