Americans may be renowned for their terrible coffee — but that did not stop people queuing out the door at the opening of WA’s first outlet for the world’s largest coffee chain, Starbucks.

The new store that opened its doors in, of all places, the south-eastern suburb of Piara Waters, attracted plenty of attention on Thursday with locals flocking to buy its signature concoctions.
