An interview with Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s daughter Sunday Rose Kidman-Urban has divided the internet.

After the 16-year-old kicked off her modelling career by gracing the runway during Miu Miu’s Spring-Summer 2025 womenswear show in Paris on Tuesday (local time), she appeared in a Vogue video.

Kidman-Urban gave a brief interview about her desire to get into the modelling world and how she jumped at the opportunity to be involved in Paris Fashion Week.

However, fans could not stop commenting on her unusual and unexpected accent.

Kidman-Urban and her younger sister Faith Margaret have spent their childhood living between Sydney, Australia, and Nashville in the US.

As a result, she has a “southern drawl mixed with a twinge of Australian,” as described by one fan.

“Love her accent. Australian meets Appalachian,” one said.

“I love her accent! What a mix,” another said.

“I am shocked by her accent! I probably shouldn’t be but I am,” added a third.

Meanwhile others did not detect any Australian twang in her accent, commenting, “I can only hear American”.

“No Aussie accent there,” another said.

Kidman watched her daughter walk the runway and later shared images of Sunday strutting her stuff on the runway, adding love stickers to the Instagram story.

Coinciding with the debut was Sunday’s arrival on Instagram, where she collaborated with Miu Miu in a post on her Sunday Rose Instagram.

The star-studded event also featured notable figures such as Willem Dafoe and Hilary Swank.

The elder sibling’s debut comes after Kidman’s attendance at the Balenciaga Womenswear Spring/Summer 2025 show, marking her return to the spotlight after taking some time off to grieve her late mother Janelle Kidman.

Her beloved mother Janelle’s death at 84 was announced on September 8, with Kidman quickly dashing back to Australia to be with her family.

Kidman wore an all-black ensemble and glasses and was quickly swarmed by photographers and blew kisses to fans.
