Sunrise reporter Teegan Dolling has announced her engagement to partner Jamie.

The news was announced on Sunrise on Tuesday, with footage showing her new fiancé Jamie romantically dropping to one knee to pop the question during a hike for the couple.

“News from one of our own this morning, Sunrise reporter Tegan Dolling is engaged,” newsreader Edwina Bartholomew told viewers on the show.

“After seven years together, her new fiancé Jamie dropped to his knee on a hike, completely surprising our Tegan.

“Congratulations Teegan, we wish you all the best.”

The pair met while Dolling was reporting from a crime scene.

Sunrise host Nat Barr offered her congratulations.

“That’s so journo, congratulations Teegan, that’s amazing,” Barr said.

Co-host Matt Shirvington also offered his congratulations for the happy couple.

Dolling later shared the segment to her Instagram, writing: “Thank you for breaking the best news ever!!!!”

Dolling is a huge part of the Sunrise family and reports on major stories such as the Ballarat gold mine collapse earlier this year, as well as interviewing prominent people, such as British F1 driver George Russell.

Dolling is known for her sense of humour, as seen on her Instagram profile.
