Aaron Francis led the disposals with 25 while Caleb Mitchell impressed with 24 and a goal of the year contender in the first quarter as he broke through the pack, showed his pace and slotted the goal from outside 50.

It was a consistent team effort across the board with a handful of young Swans all playing their roles with Corey Warner (21 disposals and an impressive goal), Jaiden Magor (21 disposals) and mid-season draftee Tom Hanily and Jake Bartholomaeus with 20 disposals each.

"I was proud of the boys as they stuck to the game plan and played selfless roles for the team," Truslove said.'

"Footscray put us under a lot of physical pressure and we absorbed it really well, it was a really impressive team performance."
