Sapsford equalised with his third goal in five games against Sydney FC just before half time, however an early second half onslaught put the Sky Blues two ahead.

Courtney-Perkins headed a Ouahim free-kick past Thomas within two minutes of the re-start before the German-Moroccan midfielder notched a penalty after Rhyan Grant was tripped.

Antonsson set up a grand stand finish with a header from a corner to make it 3-2 but Klimala put the result beyond doubt with a calm finish from Ouahim’s throughball.

Kucharski had a late effort to make it 5-2 chalked off for a foul in the lead up but it didn’t dent any of the glory.

Klimala celebrates his strike.

What They Said: Ufuk Talay: “The first half we had a lot of the ball and they were just looking for transition moments from our mistakes, I guess that was their game plan.

“Second half was good, Anas came on for Douglas who was always going to play 45 minutes and I thought we were the better team overall.

“I think the scoreline doesn’t really reflect the game.

“I know Anas wouldn’t be happy being on the bench but I thought he did well when he came on.

“Gurdy (Aaron Gurd) was exceptional for his first game in a long time.”
