Tenacious D
More than a decade since they last toured down under, the undisputed greatest and best band in the world, Tenacious D return to Australia in 2024.

The acoustic metal, comedy rock lords – Jack Black and Kyle Gass – will descend from the clouds as part of their 'Spicy Meatball' tour to headline concerts in Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Adelaide next July.

Known for their global hit 'Tribute' as well as 'The Metal', 'Kickapoo', 'Beelzeboss' and 'F... Her Gently', last year Tenacious D sold-out concerts in Europe, UK and the USA.

"It's no joke. Tenacious D is the best band in the world and in the Spicy Meatball Tour they are at the peak of their powers," shares Anonymous Rock Historian.

"Better than The Beatles. . . better than The Stones. . .even better than Taylor Swift; and they have PYRO! Do not miss the spicy meatball. . . it's D-licious!"

In the ten-plus years since they last visit Australia, Tenacious D have maintained regular output beginning with the Los Angeles music-comedy event Festival Supreme (2013-2016).

In 2018, they delivered animated film 'Tenacious D In Post-Apocalypto' (each frame was hand-drawn by Black and characters voiced by the band). A graphic novel completed the Post-Apocalypto universe in 2020.

In 2019, Tenacious D released their Jack White collab 'Don't Blow It, Kage' for Record Store Day following up with covers of 'Time Warp' (2020), 'You Never Give Me Your Money' (2021) and 'Wicked Games' (2023) as well as a tribute to The Who simply titled 'The Who Medley' (2022) followed by another new song, the whimsical 'Video Games' (2023).

Tickets on sale from 12pm (local time) on 9 February.
