Men's Tennis Opens Spring Season With Loss at Auburn

AUBURN, Ala. – The Samford men's tennis team opened the 2024 spring season with a 7-0 loss at Auburn Sunday morning.
 
With the loss, Samford is now 0-1 on the season. Auburn has a record of 1-0 with the win.
 
Auburn won the doubles matches at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions to secure the first point of the match. The doubles match at No. 1 was not finished.
 
In singles, the Tigers earned wins at No. 5, No. 4 and No. 2 to secure the win. Auburn then won at No. 6, No. 1 and No. 3 to finish off the 7-0 victory.
 
Samford will next play at South Alabama on Friday, Jan. 19. The match is set for a 2 p.m. start from Mobile, Ala.
