Thom Yorke is stepping out on tour, only this time sans his Radiohead or The Smile bandmates. Starting this fall, the English musician will put on a rare solo tour, which will take place primarily in New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, and Japan. The newly announced series of concerts will pick up on Wednesday, October 23, at Wolfbrook Arena in Christchurch, New Zealand.

In tandem with the tour announcement, Yorke outlined the impending run on his official social media, writing, “In the autumn in New Zealand, Australia, Singapore and Japan, I will be alone on stage trying a new kind of solo show thing playing versions of songs from my recent and not so recent past.” After the tour starter, Yorke will remain in New Zealand for a final gig on Oct. 25 at Spark Arena in Auckland before island jumping and arriving in Australia.

In The Land Down Under, Yorke is scheduled to play a pair of concerts on Oct. 29 and 30 at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne. Nov. 1 and 2 will see the musician perform at the famed Sydney Opera House Forecourt before a follow-up, one night at The Star Theatre in Singapore. Next, Yorke will participate in a series of musical deliveries in Japan, including two nights at the Grand Cube in Osaka (Nov. 12 and 13), followed by one-night stands in Fukuoka (Nov. 18), Hiroshima (Nov. 19) and Nagoya (Nov. 21).

The final solo gigs will arrive in twofold, Nov. 23 and 24 at Tokyo Garden Theatre, followed by the last stop of the excursion, Nov. 26, at ROHM Theatre in Kyoto. Yorke’s tour will arrive tour-heavy summer regiment consisting of gigs primarily based in Europe. Besides being on the road, on April 26, Yorke shared the original score for Daniele Luchetti’s film Confidenza, available digitally. With solo gigs on the horizon, all the momentum contribute to an immensely prolific period for the artist.
