LIVE: Tszyu's bizarre remark ahead of world-title fight

Wade Ryan is starting to smell blood, and literally seeing it too through six rounds!

Vorobev, who was already bleeding from the nose, has now been cut up above his right eye as well, and there's blood all over his face.

Ryan can see the blood and he's been going at Vorobev's right eye.

"It's a target," says Dib.

If Ryan can open up that cut and get blood streaming into the eye of Vorobev, it could cause a stoppage.

"Throwing bombs, but he's not having much effect with them," says Barry Michael of Vorobev.

The Russian's corner is not impressed, telling him to "stop messing around".

Some blood starting to come from Sergei Vorobev's nose in that fifth round and his eye is starting to puff up as well.

"It's the uppercut, he's not seen the uppercut," Dib says.

But that doesn't mean the Russian hasn't had his own moments in this one. 

Vorobev's corner wants some more combinations from him, saying "not just one punch, one, two, three four".

Wade Ryan is still hanging in strong, with Barry Michael calling this a "ripper of a fight" half way through the 10 rounds.

Billy Dib calls it a "complete barnburner" as well.

Ryan's corner telling him that Vorobev is "beginning to panic".

"This is the best I've ever seen Wade Ryan," Michael says.

"He is made of granite," adds Dib. "Every time I watch Wade fight, he gets better and better."

Australia's Wade Ryan giving a really good account of himself so far against Russia's Sergei Vorobev.

We're through three rounds of this one, and the Aussie ate some huge shots in that round.

"He's definitely finding his mark now," says Billy Dib of Vorobev on commentary.

"A lot of power there from Vorobev," adds Barry Michael. "Wade Ryan's work rate is far superior right now."

We're off and running here in the Gold Coast as Sergei Vorobev and Wade Ryan kick things off.

This one is a 10-rounder and the two fighters are competing for the vacant IBF Pab Pacific super-welterweight title.

Asked by Main Event commentator Ben Damon if he had a message for spectators ahead of his super-welterweight bout with the American, the Australian boxing champion uttered two words.

It's usually Tim Tzyu's younger brother Nikita making strange calls, but the former has made a bizarre comment ahead of his world-title clash with Brian Mendoza.

Speaking at the pre-fight press conference on Friday, Tszyu said "every little thing frustrates" him about his opponents, regardless of who he's set to fight.

When asked by Main Event commentator Ben Damon what he meant by that, he made a weird remark about his American rival invading his territory.

"He's taken away everything that I've ever worked for," Tszyu said.

"I feel like as a warrior this is like me defending my land and he's come onto my land and there's no way I'm going to let him take it."
