Tristan Thompson's rumoured third child reportedly born
Maralee Nichols, who is suing basketball player Tristan Thompson for child support, has reportedly given birth to a baby boy.
Personal trainer Nichols, who claims the child is Thompson’s, welcomed her baby into the world on Thursday December 2, multiple sources claim, and shared the news on Instagram on Friday, according to Page Six.
In a now deleted post seen by the publication, Nichols wrote: ‘I’m learning to focus on the beautiful things around me instead of all of the negative things.’
She added: ‘Things feel very hard right now but I know eventually, this will all be over and my baby boy and I can live a happy life. I made a mistake, but I’m human.
‘I won’t be posting any personal photos for awhile [sic] as I don’t want to hurt my family. Thanks in advance for understanding.’
The news comes just a day after court documents were obtained by DailyMail.com that alleged the baby was conceived while basketball player Thompson was still dating Khloe Kardashian, the mother of his three-year-old daughter, True.
Houston native Nichols, 31, who has since moved to California, has claimed that the baby was conceived during Thompson’s 30th birthday celebrations in March.
In a declaration included in the filing, Thompson says he had sexual intercourse with Nichols multiple times at a hotel after they attended a party together.
While Nichols alleges the pair had an affair that lasted at least five months, Thompson has disputed this claim, saying they were only intimate that one night and the next morning.
Thompson, 30, said in the declaration: ‘When we got to my hotel room, we immediately had sexual intercourse. Petitioner [Nichols] initiated our sexual contact and never objected to our having sexual intercourse. She was very awake and conscious and did not exhibit any signs that she was other than a willing participant in our sexual activities.
‘We did not drink at my hotel room and Petitioner was not drunk. After we had sexual intercourse, Petitioner specifically asked me if she could spend the night because it was my ‘special birthday’ as she called it.
‘I told her I had to get up early in the morning but she said it would not be an issue for her. After we had sexual intercourse, we went to bed.
‘We were both naked sleeping with one another. Before I left the hotel, we had sexual intercourse again in the morning.’
Nichols is suing for child support as well as reimbursement of medical expenses and pregnancy-related costs such as Lamaze classes, a doula, and prenatal vitamins.
She is also asking that Thompson pays for costs of the child, including newborn clothing, formula, and nappies.
Thompson is demanding the case is moved to Texas to limit the amount of child support that could be awarded and is insisting on a paternity test when the baby is born.
He also claims he was a resident of Texas at the time the baby was born.
A text message supplied in Nichols court filings, allegedly from Thompson and seen by Radar, also suggested that the Sacramento Kings is not interested in a relationship with the baby and offered Nichols $75,000, as well as reminding her that he has plans to retire from the NBA in 2022.
It read: ‘You know how I feel. My feelings haven’t changed at all. Won’t be involved at all. Btw if you think having this baby is gonna make you some money. It’s completely wrong.
‘You are aware that I’m retiring after this season. So in terms of support it will be whatever is required monthly for someone who’s unemployed. It’s Texas so it will be only a couple hundred dollars.’
It continued: ‘So you better off taking this 75k I’m offering cause you won’t get nothing near that with having a kid with a father who’s unemployed.’
Kardashian, 37, is mentioned in the filing and is referred to as Thompson’s ‘ex-girlfriend’ and the mother of True.

Thompson and Kardashian dated for five years on and off, before splitting in June this year. Their relationship was plagued by cheating accusations.
They’re thought to be on good terms and focusing on co-parenting True.
