Vanessa Hudgens has spoken about the moment her family’s privacy was “disrespected and exploited” after paparazzi photographed the star leaving the hospital with her newborn baby.

On Thursday, photos of the High School Musical star leaving a Los Angeles hospital cradling her baby emerged online.

Hudgens, 35, was wheeled out of the venue by a nurse with her baseball player husband Cole Tucker, 28, in tow.

Hudgens shielded her face with large black sunglasses while Tucker attempted to keep a low profile in a blue hooded jumper as paparazzi waited nearby.

The actress and singer only confirmed the news of her baby’s birth on Friday in a post that condemned the use of a long-lens camera.

“We’re disappointed that our family’s privacy was disrespected and exploited during this very special time due to the greed of a long-lens camera feeding the media,” she wrote.

“Despite all of that, mom dad and baby are happy and healthy.”

After the photos were shared with media outlets, fans of the actress and singer wished her growing family well, while others criticised the apparent invasion of privacy.

“Congratulations Vanessa. Your family is blessed,” one fan said on X.

Another said: “Omg congrats to her! Now she’s really gonna be mother!”

“It’s not too late to delete these super invasive photos,” one user said on X.

Another said: “You couldn’t even give her this one moment of privacy?”

Hudgens revealed in March she was pregnant by debuting her baby bump at the Oscars.

She married Tucker in a lavish wedding in Tulum, Mexico in December after two years of dating.
