Ratua Private Island is celebrating the expansion of new air services to Vanuatu with an offer for travel agents to win a seven-night stay for two.

Bookings made before 31 December 2024 earn the booking agent a chance to win the prize.

Ratua Private Island CEO, Brett Fasher, said: “It was pretty tough when Air Vanuatu shut down and it is wonderful that so many other carriers have stepped in and substantially increased the number of seats and frequency of services to Vanuatu. Solomon Airways are now flying direct from Brisbane to Santo (SON) every Thursday (IE726), which is the best option for our guests as it’s only a 30-minute boat ride from Santo to Ratua Private Island. Also, Solomon Airlines are offering a weekly service Auckland to Santo every Tuesday, starting this week (IEO711). The connectivity to Ratua Private Island has never been better.”

Last week, Qantas operated the first flight of a new direct service from Brisbane to Port Vila. Jetstar also announced up to four services a week direct from Sydney starting 12 December. These two airlines represent an additional 150,000 seats serving the destination.

Virgin Australia has also been a supporter of Vanuatu for many years, providing services from Brisbane to Port Vila four days a week. Air Vanuatu offers a once-daily domestic service from Port Vila to Santo.

Fasher added: “Tourism is incredibly important to the people and economy of Vanuatu. Once guests visit Vanuatu and Ratua Private Island, they fall in love with this place (as I did) but we obviously need a good range of air services to compete with other destinations. We are thrilled to welcome these new services, and to celebrate, we’d love to welcome the trade to experience our unique property.”

The competition applies to all bookings made from 15 October to 31 December 2024 and valid for stays from 15 October 2024 to 31 December 2025. The prize includes a seven-night stay for two people at Ratua Private Island. All meals, excluding alcohol, spa and off island tours as well as flights and are included.

Win the contest and earn a spot at the fan-favourite CATO Christmas lunch... Yes, we are officially talking Christmas!
