The losing streak is over

After eight consecutive defeats in the Rugby Championship, the Wallabies are back in the winner’s circle. And what a way to do it.

To all the dads out there, happy Father’s Day. Hard to see how it gets better from here.

Will this be remembered as a seminal moment of the Joe Schmidt era? Incredible guts from Australia to climb back from 10-0 down - they were doing nothing right, early doors, to be honest - and knock off a strong opponent with an emotional edge and in absolutely horrible, horrible conditions away from home.

YES THEY CAN! WALLABIES WIN!

Ben Donaldson buries it.

And that’s the siren.

THEY’VE DONE IT!

WALLABIES WIN: 20-19.

With the final action of the match!

SCENES.

Penalty for Australia!

Right in front of the goals, after eight phases of pressure, and we’re into the final minute!

Is this it? Can they do it?

No! Jorgensen move breaks down

Wow.

Moments after knocking on as he tried to catch a high ball, Noah Lolesio breaks the line and gallops from the centre of the park towards the right, Max Jorgensen was there, and redemption was beckoning… Lolesio was trying to set him up but Jorgenson couldn’t hold onto the ball, he drops it and it goes back to Los Pumas.

Was that the chance? The one that they’ll live to regret?

Los Pumas back in front

Argentina will take a crack at the posts after winning a penalty around five metres out. They were thinking about taking the more aggressive option but it’ll be Tomas Albornoz now who has the opportunity to snatch back the lead… and that’s what they do.

Los Pumas back in front.

Gallo blows it!

A sketchy pass to the right from Noah Lolesio isn’t right for big Nick Frost, who struggles to get to it and drops it - that ball moved weirdly in the air. Anyway. Los Pumas win the ball back on their 22, and now it’ll be a scrum, so this is dangerous for the Wallabies... and wow.

Thomas Gallo drops it cold as he moves to score a try!

Huge let-off for the Wallabies but some fantastic defensive work to put him off.

Wallabies take the lead

They’ve hit the front, off the boot of Noah Lolesio, who converts another penalty from a maul following a line-out. That’s a difficult kick from a tough angle but he’s done it - and now Australia, who trailed 10-0 early, are in the lead for the first time in this Test match.

TRY TIME! Bobby V

Rob Valetini! A wonderful surge down the left by the Wallabies ends with the big fella going over from close range and cutting into Argentina’s lead. And the kick from Noah Lolesio is good, too - and that makes it just a two-point game.
