Nine’s Weekend Today fails to air due serious technical issues
Nine Network’s Weekend Today was unable to broadcast live on Sunday due to a serious company wide network outage that is still being resolved.
A spokesperson confirmed Nine Entertainment Co, the owner of The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age was suffering from technical issues that meant the program, which typically runs from 7am until 1pm, could not go to air.
The company is trying to resume its regular broadcast schedule as soon as possible and plans to broadcast the NRL live and the 6pm news bulletins in every state this evening.
The technical issues appear to be worse in the company’s new North Sydney headquarters. Nine has not had any issues broadcasting AFL’s The Sunday Footy Show from Melbourne. The cause of the technical issues remains unclear.
