Nicolas Jackson scored twice to help Chelsea to a second straight away win with a 3-0 victory at London rivals West Ham United on Saturday that suggested new coach Enzo Maresca is getting his huge squad to gel.
Jackson capitalised on poor defending to find the net in the fourth minute when he sped down the wing, cut inside unchallenged and drilled a shot under Alphonse Areola. Fourteen minutes later the Senegal striker found space between West Ham's defenders to receive a pass from Moises Caicedo and double Chelsea's lead.
West Ham were 3-0 down little more than a minute into the second half when Jackson teed up Cole Palmer on the break and the England striker fired home from the edge of the box.

Todd Boehly and Behdad Egbhali were pictured alongside each other at the London Stadium and joined Maresca’s players in the dressing room following the 3-0 win.
There have been growing reports of tensions between Egbhali’s Clearlake Capital, which is the majority shareholder, and Boehly, over key decisions on the running of the club.

The former Hammers manager was on punditry duty for beIN Sports for the London derby defeat to Chelsea in the Premier League’s early kick-off on Saturday.
The Hammers lost 3-0 at the London Stadium thanks to a first-half brace from Nicolas Jackson, who turned provider in the second-half for Cole Palmer’s strike just after the interval.
It means new manager Julen Lopetegui has won just once in his opening four games and they face a daunting Carabao Cup third-round tie away at Liverpool on Wednesday.

If the old fable already warns against a bet on the Saturday lunchtime kick-off, then even the smartest of the silly money probably would not have fancied Nicolas Jackson when clean through one-on-one.
Against Crystal Palace just before the international break, the striker missed two glaring chances late on to cost his side two points. Last week at Bournemouth, it took his replacement, Christopher Nkunku, to come off the bench and earn Chelsea three.
Here at the London Stadium, though, Jackson suddenly found clinical form, scoring twice in the opening 20 minutes as Enzo Maresca’s side blew West Ham away. For good measure, he laid on another for Cole Palmer after the break, a 3-0 win echoing Marcela’s record on the road at the start of the new Premier League campaign.

Chelsea will not have a recognised right-back for their Premier League clash against West Ham today.
Maresca had hoped to have Malo Gusto fit to make the trip, after the Frenchman missed the 1-0 victory over Bournemouth last weekend with a thigh injury, but confirmed in his pre-match press conference that he remains sidelined.
Club captain Reece James is also still out with a hamstring problem and Maresca revealed there is still no timeframe on his return.
“It's a bit delayed but the most important thing for him, for any injury, is that they come back when they are 100% fit,” Maresca said. “"Unfortunately we do not have an idea at the moment. In terms of injuries in the past, we always hope that we can find the right solution.”
Centre-back Axel Disasi started out of position at right-back during the win at Bournemouth, but struggled and was eventually replaced midway through the second-half.
Maresca could instead use Wesley Fofana there, or else redeploy midfielder Moises Caicedo at right-back.

Both Emerson and Niclas Fullkrug are doubts for West Ham against Chelsea today.
Fullkrug, who joined the club from Borussia Dortmund this summer, missed the 1-1 draw with Fulham last weekend with an Achilles tendon injury sustained midway through the international break with Germany.
It is touch and go as to whether the striker is fit in time to face Chelsea. Emerson, meanwhile, was withdrawn just before the hour mark at Craven Cottage with an injury problem.
“Fortunately, it wasn’t a big knock for Emerson”, Hammers boss Julen Lopetegui said in his pre-match press conference on Thursday afternoon.
“It’s still Thursday and so 48 hours or so before the match, so there is still time where we need to review things. We will evaluate him again tomorrow [Friday] and see where we are.”
